Welcome to the Baltimore/Washington DC IC Support Group web site. Established in 2002, the group was formed to provide refuge, support and education to patients who suffer from Interstitial Cystitis (IC)/Painful Bladder Syndrome (PBS). The group services the Baltimore, Washington DC, Northern Virginia and Southern PA region. There are no fees or dues required to join this locally organized independent group.

By attending support group meetings, you will gain:

•  Relief from isolation.

•  Access to vital information about IC/PBS through shared experience from other members, provision of literature, reference materials available for review, and periodic visitors from the medical and research community.

•  Empowerment by engaging in group activities that focus on moving the IC cause forward.

•  Friendship from those who know exactly what you are going through.

Our meetings are held quarterly (see our Meeting Dates and Times page for more details) in Laurel, Maryland. How to get there? Please check the Meeting Location and Directions page for more information.

For those interested in participating in research studies located in the Baltimore area, please visit the Research Studies page for the particulars and contact information.

To donate directly to medical research of IC/PBS, please see our Beakers for IC page where your gift can advance our most urgent necessity at this time, basic research.
